General information only
Everything on this site is general information about our building method. It isn't architectural, engineering, legal or construction advice for any specific site or project. Every build is different, so talk with us and with a licensed professional before you rely on anything here.
Who builds your home
RedRider, LLC is not a contractor. We design homes, supply the BoltLama™ system and coordinate projects. Construction is performed by independent licensed contractors, who are responsible for their own work.
Permits and local codes
Building codes, zoning and permit rules vary by location. You're responsible for getting the approvals your project needs. Where we mention permit exemptions, they depend on your local rules, so check with your building department before you build.
The ADU Builder
The BoltLama ADU Builder (Beta) is a visual tool only. It makes rough concept layouts, and its plans, 3D views, parts lists and estimates aren't construction drawings, engineering or a quote. A licensed architect finalizes every RedRider design, with engineering, under a separate written contract, and the design can change to meet codes, your site and permit requirements. Test results and performance
Test results on this site describe the specific sections and conditions we tested. How a finished home performs depends on its design, site, foundation, materials and construction. We don't promise that any home will come through a storm, earthquake or fire without damage.
Products, prices and availability
Designs, specs and offerings can change without notice. Products marked "coming soon" are still in development. Joining a pre-order list doesn't commit you or us to a sale. Prices, quotes and estimates are only binding when they're in a signed written agreement.
Building it yourself
Construction carries real risks. If you build yourself, follow the instructions you're given, use proper safety equipment and work within your local codes. Bring in licensed professionals wherever your project or your local rules call for them.
Patents, trademarks and content
The BoltLama™ method is protected by U.S. patents. BoltLama™ and RedRider™ are trademarks of RedRider, LLC. The text, photos, drawings and video on this site belong to RedRider, LLC. You're welcome to share links to the site, but please don't copy or reuse our content without written permission. Nothing on this site grants a license to our patents. To license the method, contact us.
Other websites
Some links go to sites we don't control, such as patent records and source data. We're not responsible for their content.
Limits on our liability
We work to keep this site accurate, but it's provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, RedRider, LLC isn't liable for any loss that comes from using the site or relying on its content. Any warranty for a RedRider product or build will be in its written agreement.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll post the new version here and update the effective date.
